Hollow core – which we colloquially refer to as HD – is a prefabricated concrete element and is plane parallel with longitudinal holes.
Economically advantageous alternative
Thanks to the rational manufacturing and assembly methods are hollow cores an economical alternative for virtually all types of buildings. Moreover, the hollow cores long spans – which both reduces the need for load-bearing structures and provide great opportunities for flexible layouts.
Hollow core is by far the most used concrete product in the Scandinavian construction market today, thanks to the possibility of long spans.
The usage of the hollow core is wide. It is mainly used as joists and ceiling in commercial and office buildings, schools, hotels, factories and car parks. It is also used in the construction of houses. With hollow cores can a good foundation for future construction work quickly be created.
Module width is 1200 mm, while the length is optional. What length you choose depends on what load they should resist, the dimension defined and the amount of reinforcement.
We offer different variations in height – what controls the height is, amongst other things, the requirements for load and spans and which fire and environmental requirements are needed.
